H.R. No. 1608
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Dewie and Janice Free of Livingston celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on March 10, 2015, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1965, Mr. and Mrs. Free
exchanged the vows of matrimony in Lufkin, and over the course of
their marriage, they have found in each other a loving life partner;
and
WHEREAS, Over the years, Mr. and Mrs. Free became the parents
of three children, Dewie Free and his wife, Paula, Shirl Takahashi
and her husband, Bryon, and the late Michael Free; today, their
family has grown to include eight grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren, with whom they treasure spending many special
occasions; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Dewie and Janice Free have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Dewie and Janice Free on their 50th
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for the
future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
