| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Savannah Galloway of Buna High School earned |

| 6 | 7 | | honorable mention at the 29th annual Protégé High School Art |

| 7 | 8 | | Competition and Exhibition, which was held in Beaumont on February |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Established in 1986, this competition is aimed at |

| 10 | 11 | | encouraging high school seniors from around the Golden Triangle to |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | create original artwork; out of some 140 submissions this year, 26 |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | pieces were selected for inclusion in a traveling art show, which |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | will be displayed at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas as well as at |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | regional school libraries; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Galloway placed fourth for her entry, a drawing |

| 16 | 17 | | entitled Self-Portrait, and received a gift certificate for art |

| 17 | 18 | | supplies; she is a student of Buna High art instructor Keith Hoke; |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Savannah Galloway has distinguished herself among |

| 20 | 21 | | the many talented young artists who entered this competition, and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | she is indeed a source of great pride to her family and her school; |

| 23 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 24 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Savannah Galloway on earning |
