45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Computer Education Association
67 are gathering in Austin from February 2 through 6, 2015, for the
78 35th annual TCEA Convention and Exposition; and
89 WHEREAS, Established in 1980, TCEA is dedicated to improving
910 teaching and learning through the integration of technology into
1011 prekindergarten through 12th grade classes; its membership
1112 includes administrators, teachers, students, and community leaders
1213 who are united by their shared purpose; and
1314 WHEREAS, TCEA contributes to Texas education by advocating
1415 for policies that support teachers and administrators; it offers
1516 many professional development courses for educators as well as
1617 scholarships for students pursuing a career in higher education;
1718 and
1819 WHEREAS, Technology is of ever-increasing importance to
1920 students in this information age, and the efforts of TCEA help to
2021 ensure that young Texans acquire the knowledge and skills necessary
2122 to build a brighter future; now, therefore, be it
2223 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2324 Legislature hereby recognize the Texas Computer Education
2425 Association and extend to its members sincere wishes for continued
2526 success with their important work; and, be it further
2627 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2728 prepared for TCEA as an expression of high regard by the Texas House
2829 of Representatives.
