| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Joli Timm of Livingston has received a President's |

| 6 | 7 | | Volunteer Service Award in recognition of her efforts to help |

|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The President's Volunteer Service Award honors |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | Americans of all ages who have contributed a significant number of |

| 10 | 11 | | service hours over the course of a year; winners collect a |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | personalized certificate, an official pin, medallion, or coin, and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | a congratulatory letter from the president of the United States; |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Ms. Timm was granted this prestigious award by the Prudential |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Spirit of Community Awards program; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A senior at Livingston High School, Ms. Timm has |

| 16 | 17 | | volunteered with the SPCA for five years, taking care of animals |

| 17 | 18 | | that have been neglected or abandoned; in addition to her community |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | service, she participates in band and FFA, and she is a member of |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | the National Honor Society as well as the Spanish Honor Society; and |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has demonstrated |

| 21 | 22 | | remarkable initiative, compassion, and dedication, and she is a |

| 22 | 23 | | source of great pride to her family and community; now, therefore, |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 25 | 26 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Joli Timm on her receipt of a |
