H.R. No. 1689
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
by an enduring love, Robert and Lisa Modglin of Katy celebrated
their 35th wedding anniversary on March 8, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Modglin were united in matrimony in
Kokomo, Indiana, in 1980, and through the years, they have nurtured
a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the
addition of their children, Jason Modglin and his wife, Erin, and
Amanda Accardo and her husband, David, as well as four
grandchildren, Samuel, Emily, Bruce, and Baby; and
WHEREAS, Residents of Texas since December 1980, the couple
are members of Bear Creek United Methodist Church in Houston, where
they volunteer with the United Methodist Women and the Boy Scouts;
and
WHEREAS, For three and a half decades, this devoted husband
and wife have remained constant in their commitment to each other,
and the strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's
challenges and opportunities with grace and optimism; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Robert and Lisa Modglin on their
35th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Modglin as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
