| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Eduardo Blanc of El Paso is an outstanding Texan who |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Born to Manuel and Ernestina Blanc on March 31, |

| 8 | 9 | | 1945, in El Palmito, Durango, Mexico, Eduardo Blanc grew up in a |

| 9 | 10 | | large family with his six siblings; he graduated from El Paso |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | Technical High School and subsequently answered his nation's call |

| 11 | 12 | | to duty as a member of the U.S. Army; he served admirably during the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Vietnam War, rising to the rank of sergeant and earning the Combat |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Infantry Badge before completing his military service; he went on |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | to enjoy a respected career as a machinist for the Southern Pacific |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Railroad until his retirement; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Blanc and his wife, Maria Blanc, have shared a |

| 17 | 18 | | rewarding marriage that has spanned more than four decades; they |

| 18 | 19 | | are the proud parents of three children, Mayela, Victor, and Heidi, |

| 19 | 20 | | and they take much delight in their six grandchildren, Christopher, |

| 20 | 21 | | Melissa, Sergio, Destiny, Alexandra, and Adrian; and |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Blessed with a devoted family and a wide circle of |

| 22 | 23 | | friends, Eduardo Blanc has long been a source of joy and inspiration |

| 23 | 24 | | to all those fortunate enough to share in the richness of his life; |
