H.R. No. 1727 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Angel Bullock of Big Sandy High School in Dallardsville was selected to the 2A boys' basketball state All-Tournament Team following his superb performance during the 2014-2015 playoffs; and WHEREAS, A junior guard, Mr. Bullock was an integral part of the Wildcats' march to the 2A state championship game; in the final two tournament contests, he made 6 steals, grabbed 13 rebounds, and completed 7 assists, and he led the 2A division in scoring with a total of 66 points; Big Sandy defeated Schulenburg High School in the semifinals before losing to Canadian High School in the title matchup, finishing the year with a 37-3 record; and WHEREAS, The son of Gabe and Terri Bullock, Angel Bullock's passion for the game is steeped in family tradition; his grandfather, Oscar Williams, was a member of the 1957 state championship Wildcats basketball team, which makes Mr. Bullock's selection to the All-Tournament Team all the more special; and WHEREAS, With his outstanding ability to excel in crucial games, Angel Bullock has established himself as one of the top young basketball players in the state, and he may indeed reflect with pride on his achievements as he looks forward to a future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Angel Bullock on his selection to the 2A boys' basketball state All-Tournament Team and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Bullock as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
