| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, A U.S. and world history teacher at Miller High |

| 10 | 11 | | School since 2009, Mr. McRae is also an advanced placement |

| 11 | 12 | | instructor in the same subjects; his project-based approach to |

| 12 | 13 | | teaching has made his classes popular with students and won him an |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | earlier accolade, when he was named Teacher of the Year for the |

| 14 | 15 | | 2010-2011 school year; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Mr. McRae holds a bachelor's degree summa cum laude |

| 16 | 17 | | in history, and he earned a master's degree in educational and |

| 17 | 18 | | instructional technology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi |

| 18 | 19 | | in 2014; he also brings to his classes his 21 years of prior |

| 19 | 20 | | experience in the business world as an account executive at |

| 20 | 21 | | Motorola Codex; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Morris McRae exemplifies the passion, |

| 22 | 23 | | determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |

| 23 | 24 | | best teachers, and he is inspiring in his students a love of |

| 24 | 25 | | learning that will serve them well throughout their lives; now, |
