| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Members of the Cleburne Chamber of Commerce and the |

| 6 | 7 | | Tuesday Forum are visiting the State Capitol on April 7, 2015; and |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Founded in 1919, the Cleburne Chamber of Commerce is |

| 8 | 9 | | dedicated to the betterment of the community, and since the |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | chamber's inception, it has been involved in a host of development |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | initiatives; it began by promoting the construction of good |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | highways, including U.S. Highway 67 and what is now State Highway |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | 171, and in its inaugural year, it underwrote half the salary of the |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | county agricultural extension agent; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The chamber has grown to become the largest in |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Johnson County, with more than 960 members, and it represents 750 |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | businesses; to better serve the area's dominant economic sectors, |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | it has developed especially broad expertise in agriculture and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | industry; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, For more than 30 years, the Tuesday Forum has |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | provided a monthly venue for the nonpartisan discussion of civic |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | matters; the members are business and professional men and women |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | committed to meeting the challenges that face the community, and |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | the group invites speakers to address a variety of contemporary |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | topics; and |

| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, The public-spirited members of the Cleburne Chamber |

| 26 | 27 | | of Commerce and the Tuesday Forum are contributing to the |

| 27 | 28 | | prosperity and vitality of their community, and it is a privilege to |

| 28 | 29 | | recognize them for their outstanding civic engagement; now, |
