| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The President's Volunteer Service Award honors |

| 9 | 10 | | Americans of all ages who have contributed a significant number of |

| 10 | 11 | | service hours over the course of a year; winners collect a |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | personalized certificate, an official pin, medallion, or coin, and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | a congratulatory letter from the president of the United States; |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, A senior at Livingston High School, Ms. Litchfield |

| 15 | 16 | | has volunteered more than 100 hours through the Hugh O'Brian Youth |

| 17 | 18 | | Individuals Thanking Heroes (F.A.I.T.H.), a local nonprofit that |

| 18 | 19 | | sends care packages to members of the armed forces who are stationed |

| 19 | 20 | | overseas; in addition to her community service, she has |

| 20 | 21 | | participated in the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program |

| 21 | 22 | | for four years; she plays the trombone in the Royal Brigade Band as |

| 22 | 23 | | well as the jazz band and competes at University Interscholastic |

| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has demonstrated |

| 25 | 26 | | remarkable initiative, compassion, and dedication, and she is a |
