 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Casper Wenzel received well-deserved recognition
 when he was inducted into the Coastal Bend Coaches Association Hall
 of Honor at a banquet held in Corpus Christi on January 17, 2015;
 and
 WHEREAS, One of the most respected basketball coaches in the
 region, Casper Wenzel has compiled more than 900 wins over the
 course of nearly a half-century in the profession; he currently
 holds the title of head coach at Incarnate Word Academy in Corpus
 Christi, where he has spent nearly three decades guiding his teams
 to success on the hardwood; and
 WHEREAS, A graduate of Texas A&I University, Coach Wenzel
 began his outstanding career in 1966 at Spurger High School, and he
 went on to coach at Hamshire-Fannett High School for eight seasons;
 in 1975, he took the helm for the first time at Incarnate Word, and
 he remained in that role until 1995, when he assumed head coaching
 duties at Calallen High School for six years; he then worked at
 Gregory-Portland High School and Incarnate Word Academy Middle
 School before finally returning to the sidelines for Incarnate Word
 Academy in 2006; and
 WHEREAS, With his exceptional ability to teach and motivate,
 Casper Wenzel has made a positive difference in the lives of
 hundreds of young athletes, and in so doing he has earned a place
 among the legendary coaches of the Coastal Bend area; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Casper Wenzel on his induction into
 the Coastal Bend Coaches Association Hall of Honor as a member of
 the Class of 2015 and commend him on his many achievements; and, be
 it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Coach Wenzel as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
