| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, One of the most respected basketball coaches in the |

| 10 | 11 | | region, Casper Wenzel has compiled more than 900 wins over the |

| 11 | 12 | | course of nearly a half-century in the profession; he currently |

| 12 | 13 | | holds the title of head coach at Incarnate Word Academy in Corpus |

| 13 | 14 | | Christi, where he has spent nearly three decades guiding his teams |

| 14 | 15 | | to success on the hardwood; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A graduate of Texas A&I University, Coach Wenzel |

| 16 | 17 | | began his outstanding career in 1966 at Spurger High School, and he |

| 17 | 18 | | went on to coach at Hamshire-Fannett High School for eight seasons; |

| 18 | 19 | | in 1975, he took the helm for the first time at Incarnate Word, and |

| 19 | 20 | | he remained in that role until 1995, when he assumed head coaching |

| 20 | 21 | | duties at Calallen High School for six years; he then worked at |

| 21 | 22 | | Gregory-Portland High School and Incarnate Word Academy Middle |

| 22 | 23 | | School before finally returning to the sidelines for Incarnate Word |

| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, With his exceptional ability to teach and motivate, |

| 25 | 26 | | Casper Wenzel has made a positive difference in the lives of |

| 26 | 27 | | hundreds of young athletes, and in so doing he has earned a place |
