| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, The Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at the |

| 12 | 13 | | University of North Texas Health Science Center trains osteopathic |

| 13 | 14 | | physicians to promote overall good health, not just the treatment |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | of disease; the school's innovative applications-based curriculum |

| 15 | 16 | | highlights cutting-edge research, dedication to primary care, |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | promotion of healthy aging, and the practice of rural medicine, and |

| 17 | 18 | | its students excel at both academic and clinical studies; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Osteopathic physicians are ably represented across |

| 19 | 20 | | the state by the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, which |

| 20 | 21 | | advances the philosophy and principles of osteopathic medicine; and |
