| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Cecelia Boswell was named the recipient of the |

| 7 | 8 | | Association for the Gifted and Talented, and this achievement |

| 8 | 9 | | indeed merits special recognition; and |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The Administrator of the Gifted Award is given |

| 10 | 11 | | annually to a worthy administrator who has demonstrated an ongoing |

| 11 | 12 | | commitment to the education of gifted children in the State of |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Texas; Dr. Boswell was chosen for this notable honor in recognition |

| 13 | 14 | | of her work as executive director of advanced academics for the Waco |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Independent School District; in that role, she helped the district |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | to meet state compliance guidelines for gifted education and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | provided continuing education and training for teachers; moreover, |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | she was instrumental in the establishment of the ATLAS Academy of |

| 18 | 19 | | Waco, an advanced learning middle school that emphasizes |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | humanities, science, and technology in its curriculum; and |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, During her tenure with the Waco ISD, Dr. Boswell |

| 21 | 22 | | contributed immeasurably to creating a supportive and challenging |

| 22 | 23 | | educational environment for gifted students, and her achievements |

| 23 | 24 | | will resonate in the district for years to come; now, therefore, be |
