H.R. No. 1874
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
by a great and enduring love, Kenneth and Dorothy Ludwig of Waco
celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on February 19, 2015; and
WHEREAS, United in matrimony in 1955, Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig
have been blessed with a treasured family that has grown to include
three daughters, Debbie Dunn and her husband, Billy, Becky Garrett
and her husband, Ken, and Pam Clendenen and her husband, Joe, and a
son, Ronnie Ludwig and his wife, Susan, as well as 17 grandchildren
and 16 great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. and
Mrs. Ludwig owned and operated Ludwig Saw & Tool in Waco from 1969
to 2000, and they remain active in the business to this day; in
their leisure time, they enjoy going camping and fishing; and
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six
decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in
their commitment to each other, and the strength of their love has
enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace
and optimism; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That Kenneth and Dorothy Ludwig be congratulated on
their 60th wedding anniversary and that they be extended sincere
best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
