5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Rusty Senac was named 2014 Person of the Year by the |

6 | 7 | | West Chambers County Chamber of Commerce; and |

7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, An admired public servant, Mr. Senac is now in his |

8 | 9 | | second term as a Chambers County commissioner; he previously served |
---|
9 | 10 | | for a decade as mayor of Beach City, and he was a member of the city |
---|
10 | 11 | | council for 11 years; in all these roles, he has demonstrated |
---|
11 | 12 | | exceptional commitment and a strong command of the issues; and |
---|
12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Senac gives generously of his time and talents |
---|
13 | 14 | | as a member of the Barbers Hill Lions Club and as a director of the |
---|
14 | 15 | | Portrait of a Warrior gallery; moreover, he has served the business |
---|
15 | 16 | | community on the boards of the chambers of commerce for Baytown and |
---|
16 | 17 | | West Chambers County, and he is a former member of the Economic |
---|
17 | 18 | | Development Foundation, the Bayou Bowl, and the Coastal Water |
---|
18 | 19 | | Authority; and |
---|
19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, For many years, Mr. Senac was the president of |

20 | 21 | | Medical Marketing Services, and his clients included a variety of |
---|
21 | 22 | | medical organizations, among them laboratories, physicians' |
---|
22 | 23 | | groups, and clinics; he retired in 1992 and became a consultant; and |
---|
23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, The vitality of a community depends in large measure |
---|
24 | 25 | | on the vision and dedication of its leaders, and through his public |
---|
25 | 26 | | service and civic engagement, Rusty Senac has contributed |
---|
26 | 27 | | significantly to the betterment of Chambers County; now, therefore, |

28 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

29 | 30 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Rusty Senac on his selection as the |

30 | 31 | | 2014 Person of the Year by the West Chambers County Chamber of |
