| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends were deeply saddened by the |

| 6 | 7 | | untimely passing of George Michael Newsome of Groves on September |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born in Port Arthur on August 13, 1963, George |

| 9 | 10 | | Newsome lived in Groves for nearly three decades; he worked as a |

| 10 | 11 | | water reclamation superintendent for the City of Beaumont, and he |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | served his professional community as a member of the Texas Water |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Utilities Association; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Newsome took great pleasure in going duck |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | hunting with friends during his leisure time; a man of faith, he was |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | also a valued congregant of the First Christian Church of Port |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Arthur; and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Newsome enjoyed the love |

| 18 | 19 | | and support of his wife, Diane, and his children, Jessica, |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | Michayla, and George; he also took great pride in his grandchild, |

| 20 | 21 | | Braylon; and |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, George Newsome won the affection of all who knew him |

| 22 | 23 | | with his kindness, hearty laugh, and positive attitude, and |

| 23 | 24 | | cherished memories of time spent in his company will long endure in |

| 24 | 25 | | the hearts of his loved ones; now, therefore, be it |
