45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Demonstrating skill and determination, the
67 Kirbyville High School junior varsity tennis team competed in the
78 Woodville JV Invitational Tournament on March 20, 2015; and
89 WHEREAS, The Wildcats played against six other schools, and a
910 number of players made a fine showing in their divisions; in boys'
1011 doubles, Tyler Martin and Justin Odom earned first place, and in
1112 boys' singles, Rodrigo Briz placed third; and
1213 WHEREAS, In the girls' doubles division, Cassity Dupree and
1314 Emma Hughes captured first place, Yasmin Gomez and Shelby Shirley
1415 took second, and Mia Baker and Paige Simons placed third; in girls'
1516 singles, Gwendolyne Bronson was the runner-up, and Mikah Boyd
1617 finished third; and
1718 WHEREAS, The talented student-athletes of the Kirbyville
1819 junior varsity tennis team have brought credit to their school
1920 through their success on the court, and they may take justifiable
2021 pride in their outstanding accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
2122 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2223 Legislature hereby congratulate the Kirbyville High School junior
2324 varsity tennis team on its performance in the Woodville JV
2425 Invitational Tournament and extend to the team's players sincere
2526 best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
2627 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2728 prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
2829 House of Representatives.
