|---|
| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Each year, the American Cancer Society holds walks |

| 10 | 11 | | in nearly 300 communities across the nation; these events honor |

| 11 | 12 | | breast cancer survivors and raise awareness of how to reduce one's |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | risk of developing the disease; the money collected enables the |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | society to fund groundbreaking research and to provide 24-hour |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | information and support, as well as a range of services for breast |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | cancer patients; and |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, In 2014, a Radiology Associates team participated in |

| 17 | 18 | | the Corpus Christi Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk, |

| 18 | 19 | | raising more than $66,000 for the cause and earning distinction as a |

| 19 | 20 | | Pacesetter Team; Radiology Associates stands out not only as the |

| 20 | 21 | | sole group in Corpus Christi to meet the $25,000 threshold for |

| 21 | 22 | | achieving Pacesetter honors, but also as one of the top 20 |

| 22 | 23 | | Pacesetter Teams in the nation, ranking 14th on a list that includes |

| 23 | 24 | | teams from a number of larger corporations; and |

| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, A group of board-certified radiologists and some 200 |

| 25 | 26 | | employees, Radiology Associates offers a full range of outpatient |

| 26 | 27 | | imaging services and has been designated as a Breast Imaging Center |

| 27 | 28 | | of Excellence by the American College of Radiology; and |

| 28 | 29 | | WHEREAS, By raising money as well as public awareness, the |

| 29 | 30 | | members of the Radiology Associates team have made a notable |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | contribution in the fight against cancer, and they are indeed |

| 31 | 32 | | deserving of recognition for their outstanding efforts; now, |

| 33 | 34 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 34 | 35 | | Legislature hereby commend Radiology Associates for its commitment |

| 36 | 37 | | its stellar achievement in the 2014 Making Strides Against Breast |
