| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Established by the American Health Care Association |

| 9 | 10 | | in 1967, National Nursing Home Week begins every year on Mother's |

| 10 | 11 | | Day, and during this festive period, nursing homes and other |

| 11 | 12 | | long-term care communities across the nation highlight the skilled |

| 12 | 13 | | and compassionate care they provide to the elderly and disabled and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | celebrate their ties with their communities; this year's theme is |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | "Bring on the Fiesta!"; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Founded in 1969, Retama Manor Nursing Center has |

| 16 | 17 | | been providing quality nursing care and rehabilitation services to |

| 17 | 18 | | the families of Robstown for more than 45 years, and its health fair |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | offers local residents a fine opportunity to view the center's work |

| 19 | 20 | | firsthand; and |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, The communities of Texas are strengthened by the |

| 21 | 22 | | honor and respect they show the elderly and disabled, and National |

| 22 | 23 | | Nursing Home Week is a fitting time to commend those facilities and |

| 23 | 24 | | caregivers who play such a critical role in enhancing their quality |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 26 | 27 | | Legislature hereby commemorate the Robstown Community Health Fair |
