| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Taylor A. Griffin has ably served her fellow Texans |

| 7 | 8 | | during the 84th Legislative Session; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Griffin has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 10 | 11 | | in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained |

| 12 | 13 | | valuable experience in the field of public service; and |

| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Griffin is a member of the class of 2016 at The |

| 14 | 15 | | University of Texas at Austin, where she is working toward her |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | bachelor's degree in public relations and has earned a place on the |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Dean's List of the Moody College of Communication; she is the |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | philanthropy chair of Chi Omega fraternity and an active member of |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | the Alan Scott Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | America; she also volunteers with Reading Aces, helping at-risk |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | children improve their literacy skills, and with the Zavala After |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | School Program, helping elementary school children with arts and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | crafts and cooking; and |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |

| 24 | 25 | | duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is |

| 25 | 26 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |

| 27 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
