| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |

| 6 | 7 | | by a great and enduring love, Dan and Leotia Morgan of China Spring |

| 7 | 8 | | celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary on March 15, 2015; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Dan Morgan and the former Leotia Netherland were |

| 9 | 10 | | united in matrimony in Waco on that memorable day in 1940; through |

| 10 | 11 | | the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been |

| 11 | 12 | | made even richer with the addition of three children, Tommy Morgan |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | and his wife, Diane, D. W. Morgan, and Phyllis Thomas, as well as 8 |

| 13 | 14 | | grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Morgan is |

| 15 | 16 | | retired from his work as a plumber and Mrs. Morgan has been a |

| 16 | 17 | | devoted homemaker; moreover, both are active in the congregation at |

| 17 | 18 | | Grace Baptist Church of China Spring; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Dan and Leotia Morgan have delighted in seven and a |

| 19 | 20 | | half decades of abiding love and affection for one another, and they |

| 20 | 21 | | are among an exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a |

| 21 | 22 | | lasting commitment; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 23 | 24 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Dan and Leotia Morgan on their 75th |
