| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |

| 6 | 7 | | passing of Jerre Wayne Bardin on September 28, 2013, at the age of |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born in Winters, Jerre Bardin was the son of Evelyn |

| 9 | 10 | | Woods Bardin Long and Ephriam Daniel Dixson Bardin; he grew up as |

| 10 | 11 | | one of three children and graduated from Abilene High School, where |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | he was drum major for the Eagle Band; and |

| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Bardin attended McMurry University for a year |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | and worked in the photography department of the Reporter-News |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | before joining the United States Navy; he graduated as honor man of |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | his class at the U.S. Naval Radioman School with a final mark of |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | 97.97; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, A devoted father, Mr. Bardin took great pride in his |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | six children, Andy, Shelly, Shawn, Noel, Laney, and Kolby, and in |

| 19 | 20 | | more recent years, he knew the joy of welcoming into his family 14 |

| 20 | 21 | | grandchildren: Justin, Alex, Logan, Tristan, Ryan, and Karissa |

| 21 | 22 | | Bardin, Jeffrey, Timothy, Thomas, Emma, and Kyle Naro, Armando |

| 22 | 23 | | Melgoza, and Piper and Palmer Pitman; moreover, he was a loyal, |

| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Jerre Bardin treasured the time he spent in the |
