H.R. No. 1962 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Members of Richardson Republican Women are meeting at the State Capitol for the Texas Federation of Republican Women's Legislative Day on April 16, 2015; and WHEREAS, Founded in 1958, the club has actively promoted the ideals and principles of the Republican Party for more than a half-century; in acknowledgement of their achievements, members have received an array of collective and individual awards, including a certificate of merit from the Texas Federation of Republican Women and a certificate of appreciation from the executive committee of the Dallas County Council of Republican Women; and WHEREAS, Over the years, members of Richardson Republican Women have likewise set an admirable example of service through their volunteer efforts; the club has participated in a number of literacy and outreach programs in Richardson, and it has offered financial support to public libraries in Texas throughout its history; and WHEREAS, These public-spirited Texans are working to secure a bright future for their community, state, and nation, and it is indeed fitting to commend them for the commitment that they share to the betterment of their community; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby recognize Richardson Republican Women for the group's community service and extend to all those affiliated with the club sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Richardson Republican Women as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
