| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Members of Richardson Republican Women are meeting |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Founded in 1958, the club has actively promoted the |

| 9 | 10 | | ideals and principles of the Republican Party for more than a |

| 10 | 11 | | half-century; in acknowledgement of their achievements, members |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | have received an array of collective and individual awards, |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | including a certificate of merit from the Texas Federation of |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Republican Women and a certificate of appreciation from the |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | executive committee of the Dallas County Council of Republican |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Women; and |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Over the years, members of Richardson Republican |

| 17 | 18 | | Women have likewise set an admirable example of service through |

| 18 | 19 | | their volunteer efforts; the club has participated in a number of |

| 19 | 20 | | literacy and outreach programs in Richardson, and it has offered |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | financial support to public libraries in Texas throughout its |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | history; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, These public-spirited Texans are working to secure a |

| 23 | 24 | | bright future for their community, state, and nation, and it is |

| 24 | 25 | | indeed fitting to commend them for the commitment that they share to |

| 25 | 26 | | the betterment of their community; now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 27 | 28 | | Legislature hereby recognize Richardson Republican Women for the |

| 28 | 29 | | group's community service and extend to all those affiliated with |

| 29 | 30 | | the club sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
