R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Alexandra Babino was named Educator of the Year at
the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Luncheon on
January 27, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Each year, the Lewisville chamber celebrates the
achievements of individuals and businesses who have made notable
contributions to the organization or who have otherwise benefited
their fellow citizens; and
WHEREAS, The inaugural winner of the Educator of the Year
honor, Ms. Babino is an instructor in the Bilingual Learning
Enrichment Academic Program at Central Elementary School, where she
has worked for seven years; this esteemed teacher has demonstrated
a strong commitment to excellence in the classroom and a
willingness to become actively involved in the lives of her
students, often visiting with their families and attending the
children's extracurricular events; a native of Kingwood, she holds
bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of North Texas,
and she is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in language,
literacy, and bilingual education at UNT; and
WHEREAS, Through her exceptional efforts, Alexandra Babino
has furthered Lewisville's reputation as a great place to live,
work, and raise a family, and she is indeed deserving of this
prestigious award; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Alexandra Babino on being named
Educator of the Year by the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce and
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Babino as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
