| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Members of the Rockwall County Republican Women are |

| 6 | 7 | | gathering in Austin on April 16, 2015, to celebrate the Texas |

| 7 | 8 | | Federation of Republican Women Legislative Day at the Capitol; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Founded in 1976, this notable club is dedicated to |

| 9 | 10 | | advancing conservative principles and helping Republican |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | candidates win elected office; the RCRW also works to educate |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | voters about key issues and legislation, and its members promote |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | the standing of women by encouraging their involvement in political |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | matters; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The RCRW also supports a number of worthwhile causes |

| 15 | 16 | | in the local area, hosting yard sales and other fund-raisers and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | providing assistance to several nonprofit organizations; moreover, |

| 17 | 18 | | the group annually awards a scholarship to three students in the |

| 18 | 19 | | Rockwall Independent School District; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Through their grassroots advocacy, members of the |

| 20 | 21 | | Rockwall County Republican Women are making a lasting difference in |

| 21 | 22 | | their community, state, and nation, and they may take justifiable |

| 22 | 23 | | pride in the exemplary model of citizenship they have set for their |

| 23 | 24 | | fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 25 | 26 | | Legislature hereby commend the members of the Rockwall County |
