 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Members of the Frisco Area Republican Women are
 gathering in Austin on April 16, 2015, to celebrate the Texas
 Federation of Republican Women Legislative Day at the Capitol; and
 WHEREAS, The Frisco Area Republican Women are dedicated to
 providing political information and education to the electorate,
 and the group remains steadfast in its commitment to electing
 Republican candidates to local, state, and national offices;
 moreover, the group works in conjunction with other Republican
 Women's Clubs from around the Lone Star State to increase the
 effectiveness of women in the cause of good government through
 active political participation; and
 WHEREAS, In addition to its political activities, the club
 supports a variety of commendable groups in its community through
 the TFRW Caring for America program; the FARW also presents its
 annual Shirley Melton Johnson Scholarships to a pair of deserving
 high school seniors from the area who have excelled in their
 academic studies and civic endeavors; and
 WHEREAS, The public-spirited members of the Frisco Area
 Republican Women are making a positive difference in their
 community, and they may indeed reflect with pride on the exemplary
 model of citizenship they have set for their fellow Texans; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby honor the members of the Frisco Area Republican
 Women for their outstanding civic engagement and extend to them
 sincere best wishes for an informative and enjoyable visit to
 Austin; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the club as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
