| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A life lived with joy and purpose drew to a close on |

| 6 | 7 | | March 29, 2015, with the passing of Celestina Lopez Navarro of |

| 7 | 8 | | Corpus Christi at the age of 76; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The former Celestina Lopez, affectionately known as |

| 9 | 10 | | Sally, was born on April 16, 1938, to Manuel and Manuela Lopez; she |

| 10 | 11 | | shared 46 years with her husband, Tony, and the couple were blessed |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | with two daughters, Melissa and Belinda; as her family grew, she |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | enjoyed many treasured moments with her six grandchildren and three |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Navarro was a valued congregant of Our Lady of |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Guadalupe Church, where she served as a CCD teacher, a Eucharistic |

| 16 | 17 | | minister, and a vibrant singer in the choir; she also volunteered |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | her time with the social services office, helping with donations |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | and the preparation of food baskets; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Although Celestina Navarro is deeply missed, |

| 20 | 21 | | memories of her strong faith and devotion to her family remain to |

| 21 | 22 | | comfort and inspire those she leaves behind; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
