| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The year 2015 marks the 30th anniversary of the |

| 7 | 8 | | established as the Southeast Harris County Economic Development |

| 8 | 9 | | Corporation in Deer Park; and |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, This notable organization was formed to build a |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | sustainable and thriving regional economy with a diverse range of |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | industry in one of the world's most influential energy corridors |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | and trade ports; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, The Economic Alliance membership includes cities, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | communities, chambers of commerce, higher education institutions, |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | independent school districts, and businesses as well as Harris |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | County and the Port of Houston Authority; and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Through the endeavors of the Economic Alliance, |

| 18 | 19 | | thousands of jobs have been created and capital investment totaling |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | billions of dollars has been attracted to the greater Houston |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | region; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, The Economic Alliance Houston Port Region serves as |

| 22 | 23 | | an outstanding advocate for enterprises that contribute greatly to |

| 23 | 24 | | the prosperity of the region, and the benefits of its |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | accomplishments will positively affect Texans long into the future; |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 27 | 28 | | Legislature hereby commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Economic |

| 28 | 29 | | Alliance Houston Port Region and extend to all those involved in the |

| 29 | 30 | | organization sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |

| 30 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
