| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The death of Bobby Dean Jones of Gatesville on |

| 6 | 7 | | January 14, 2015, at the age of 79, deeply saddened his family and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born in Gatesville on October 12, 1935, Bobby Jones |

| 9 | 10 | | was the son of Herschel Jones and Gladys "Dollie" Walker Jones; |

| 10 | 11 | | after graduating from Gatesville High School in 1954, he served his |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | country in the United States Army Reserve, and he played football at |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Tarleton State University and Midwestern State University; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Jones married the former Jane Sadler on July 3, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | 1958; the couple became the proud parents of four sons, Richard, |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Brian, Philip, and Robert, and in later years, Mr. Jones knew the |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | joy of welcoming five treasured grandchildren into his family; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Early in his career, Mr. Jones worked for Deck Boat |

| 18 | 19 | | Incorporated, and he went on to become the co-owner of Killeen Boats |

| 19 | 20 | | and Motors and Gatesville Boats and Motors; he was an active member |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | of the Gatesville Jaycees, as well as a longtime supporter of |

| 21 | 22 | | Gatesville High School athletics and the Gatesville Country Club; |

| 22 | 23 | | in his leisure time, he enjoyed boating, golf, and attending his |

| 23 | 24 | | children's and his grandchildren's sporting events; and |

| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in the friendship |

| 25 | 26 | | and love of Bobby Jones will always remember him with great |

| 26 | 27 | | admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it |

| 27 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 28 | 29 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Bobby Dean Jones and |
