56 WHEREAS, Ride On Center for Kids in Georgetown has been
67 presented with a Journey to Excellence Award by the Williamson
78 County Institute for Excellence in Nonprofits, and this achievement
89 indeed merits special recognition; and
910 WHEREAS, The Williamson County Institute for Excellence in
1011 Nonprofits, which provides pro bono organizational assistance to
1112 local service groups, established the awards program to honor
1213 initiatives that have started down the road to higher efficiency
1314 and effectiveness; and
1415 WHEREAS, Under the leadership of chief executive officer
1516 Nancy O'Meara, Ride On Center for Kids is a hippotherapy facility
1617 that helps physically, cognitively, and emotionally disabled
1718 clients improve their abilities by riding and working with horses;
1819 this empowering opportunity is available to children, adults, and
1920 wounded veterans; and
2021 WHEREAS, Ride On Center for Kids is dedicated to ensuring the
2122 independence and improving the life skills of its participants, and
2223 it is a pleasure to join in recognizing the program's latest
2324 achievement; now, therefore, be it
2425 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2526 Legislature hereby congratulate Ride On Center for Kids for its
2627 receipt of the Journey to Excellence Award and extend to its staff
2728 and clients sincere best wishes for continued success in their
2829 important work; and, be it further
2930 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3031 prepared for the center as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3132 House of Representatives.
