| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The certain knowledge of a life well lived may help |

| 6 | 7 | | comfort the loved ones of Cynthia Ann French of Mineola, who passed |

| 7 | 8 | | away on January 29, 2015, at the age of 67; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The former Cindy Turbeville was born in Mineola on |

| 9 | 10 | | October 9, 1947, to Mansell and Olga Turbeville; she graduated from |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | Deer Park High School in 1966 and married her high school |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | sweetheart, Terry French, the following year; the couple shared 47 |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | years together and raised two children, Keith and Brandy; as her |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | family grew, she became affectionately known as "Grams" to her five |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, During her husband's career with the air force, |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Mrs. French traveled with him throughout the United States and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | Europe; after returning home to Mineola, she volunteered with and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | then became the director of Kindness Kottage, a resale shop that |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | also provides local residents with access to the food bank and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | emergency assistance programs; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Cindy French was a devoted wife, mother, and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | grandmother as well as a valued member of her community, and |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | cherished memories of time spent in her company will long endure in |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | the hearts of her family and friends; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 26 | 27 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Cynthia Ann French and |
