5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Memories of a life well lived may help comfort those |

6 | 7 | | saddened by the passing of William Robert Craddock of Winnsboro on |

7 | 8 | | February 15, 2015, at the age of 70; and |
---|
8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Rob Craddock was born in Winnsboro on February 20, |
---|
9 | 10 | | 1944, to Donald Owen and Bobbie Rodgers Craddock; he was married to |
---|
10 | 11 | | the love of his life, Betty, for 47 years, and the couple shared in |
---|
11 | 12 | | the joy of raising three children, Robin, Amber, and Jarred; and |
---|
12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, A veteran of the United States Navy, Mr. Craddock |
---|
13 | 14 | | worked as an electrician for Rockwell International until his |
---|
14 | 15 | | retirement; he also served as a volunteer firefighter in Winnsboro |
---|
15 | 16 | | for many years, until an accident on the way to a fire in 1982 left |
---|
16 | 17 | | him with pain and difficulty walking; and |
---|
17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Despite his injury, Mr. Craddock lived his life with |
---|
18 | 19 | | optimism and found further strength in his faith and his family; he |
---|
19 | 20 | | was a valued member of First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro, |
---|
20 | 21 | | and he treasured the time he spent with his loved ones and delighted |
---|
21 | 22 | | in watching his grandchildren play sports; and |
---|
22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Although Rob Craddock is deeply missed, his warm and |
---|
23 | 24 | | generous nature, good humor, and determination to remain engaged in |
---|
24 | 25 | | the world around him will forever be a source of inspiration to all |
---|
25 | 26 | | those who were fortunate enough to know him; now, therefore, be it |

26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

27 | 28 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of William Robert |

28 | 29 | | Craddock and extend heartfelt condolences to the members of his |
