R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
of Paul N. Foster of Alba, who passed away on February 28, 2015, at
the age of 87; and
WHEREAS, This native Texan was born in Alba on September 7,
1927, to Charles and Sara Foster; he began his career working on
ranches in West Texas before returning to Alba and finding success
as a farmer and cattle buyer; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Foster married the former Carol McGuire on
August 12, 1975, and the couple enjoyed nearly four decades of
marriage together; he was a proud father to his stepchildren,
Michael and Amy, and he later welcomed a granddaughter, Angela, and
two great-grandchildren, Ty and Reese, into his treasured family;
and
WHEREAS, A devout Christian, Paul Foster achieved a life that
was rich in the intangibles that matter most, and those who were
privileged to share in his love and affection will forever hold him
close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Paul N. Foster and
extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife of
39 years, Carol Foster; to his stepson, Michael Mullins Jr.; to his
stepdaughter, Amy Mullins; to his granddaughter, Angela Willis and
her husband, J. D.; to his great-grandchildren, Ty and Reese
Willis; and to his many other relatives and friends; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Paul
Foster.
