| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A 60th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |

| 6 | 7 | | mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Joanne and Robert Allen |

| 7 | 8 | | of Georgetown celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on |

| 8 | 9 | | December 29, 2014; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Allen were joined in matrimony in 1954 |

| 10 | 11 | | at a ceremony held at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Albuquerque, New |

| 11 | 12 | | Mexico, while both were serving in the U.S. Army; through the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that includes |

| 13 | 14 | | their children, Mitch Allen and his wife, Julie, Julia Carleton and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | her husband, Tom, and Matthew Allen and his wife, Kerri, as well as |

| 15 | 16 | | their grandchildren, Hannah, Maddie, Abby, and Jack Allen and Ava, |

| 16 | 17 | | Lyla, and Ella Carleton; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Allen, who grew up in Austin and holds |

| 18 | 19 | | bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration from |

| 19 | 20 | | Southern Methodist University, is retired from the Texas Department |

| 20 | 21 | | of State Health Services after a nearly five-decade career in voice |

| 21 | 22 | | communications that included tenures with Dictaphone Corp. and Gulf |

| 22 | 23 | | Telephone; among the first class of graduates from the Caruth |

| 23 | 24 | | School of Dental Hygiene at the Baylor College of Dentistry in 1957, |

| 24 | 25 | | Mrs. Allen, a Wisconsin native, remains associated with a dental |

| 25 | 26 | | office in Taylor; respected members of the Georgetown community for |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | the past 42 years, the couple have also been very active in the Zion |

| 27 | 28 | | Lutheran Church and School at Walburg since shortly after settling |

| 28 | 29 | | in Georgetown in 1972; and |

| 29 | 30 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Allen have enjoyed six decades of |

| 30 | 31 | | abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an |

| 31 | 32 | | exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
