 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Breon Muckelroy of Miller High School in Corpus
 Christi was honored for his exceptional achievements during the
 2014-2015 season by being chosen a member of the first team in the
 Corpus Christi Caller-Times All-South Texas basketball awards
 selections; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Muckelroy helped the Buccaneers reach the area
 round of the University Interscholastic League state playoffs,
 leading the team with 17.9 points per game and providing tenacious
 defense with 3.4 steals per contest; he captured the District 30-5A
 Offensive Most Valuable Player honor for the second consecutive
 season, and he was also named to the 5A All-Region team by the Texas
 Association of Basketball Coaches for his outstanding senior
 campaign; and
 WHEREAS, The son of Daytria Muckelroy and Jimmy Tryon, Breon
 Muckelroy plays with a traveling basketball team out of Houston,
 and he is a member of the track and field program at Miller High; he
 hopes to continue his athletic career at the collegiate level while
 majoring in business; and
 WHEREAS, The All-South Texas award provides fitting
 acknowledgement of the talent, hard work, and commitment to
 excellence demonstrated by this exemplary student-athlete, and he
 may take justifiable pride in his accomplishments; now, therefore,
 be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Breon Muckelroy on being chosen a
 member of the first team in the Corpus Christi Caller-Times
 All-South Texas basketball awards selections and extend to him
 sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Muckelroy as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
