| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Eagle Scout insignia is bestowed on those |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, A sophomore at Second Baptist School, this fine |

| 10 | 11 | | young Texan has mastered a number of important skills in his quest |

| 11 | 12 | | to become an Eagle Scout; he has earned 24 merit badges requiring |

| 12 | 13 | | expertise in such diverse areas as first aid, personal fitness, and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | environmental science, and he has gained experience in leadership |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | and teamwork while undertaking his Eagle Scout project, which |

| 15 | 16 | | involved enhancing the children's play area at the Star of Hope |

| 16 | 17 | | Mission service agency for the homeless; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, A valued member of Boy Scout Troop No. 13 in |

| 18 | 19 | | Houston, Mr. Rush has served his peers as a patrol leader, |

| 19 | 20 | | quartermaster, historian, and group guide, and in so doing, he has |

| 20 | 21 | | exemplified the many positive traits for which Boy Scouts are |

| 21 | 22 | | renowned; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for |

| 23 | 24 | | attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Paul Rush has demonstrated an |

| 24 | 25 | | unwavering commitment to the Boy Scouts organization and its |

| 25 | 26 | | ideals, and the knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the |

| 26 | 27 | | way will indeed serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore, |
