| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Scott MacMillan of Boy Scouts of America Troop |

| 6 | 7 | | No. 405 in Georgetown has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |

| 9 | 10 | | honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |

| 10 | 11 | | scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |

| 11 | 12 | | criteria, Mr. MacMillan earned the requisite 21 merit badges and |

| 12 | 13 | | successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his |

| 13 | 14 | | community, which included constructing a group shelter at Russell |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Park; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding |

| 16 | 17 | | leadership ability throughout his scouting career, winning the |

| 17 | 18 | | respect and admiration of the fellow members of his troop as he |

| 18 | 19 | | worked toward the highest rank that the organization offers; and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Eagle Scout MacMillan's dedication to excellence |

| 20 | 21 | | and his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him |

| 21 | 22 | | worthy to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect |

| 22 | 23 | | with pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |

| 23 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
