45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Scott MacMillan of Boy Scouts of America Troop
67 No. 405 in Georgetown has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this
78 accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and
89 WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant
910 honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the
1011 scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding
1112 criteria, Mr. MacMillan earned the requisite 21 merit badges and
1213 successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his
1314 community, which included constructing a group shelter at Russell
1415 Park; and
1516 WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding
1617 leadership ability throughout his scouting career, winning the
1718 respect and admiration of the fellow members of his troop as he
1819 worked toward the highest rank that the organization offers; and
1920 WHEREAS, Eagle Scout MacMillan's dedication to excellence
2021 and his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him
2122 worthy to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect
2223 with pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
2324 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2425 Legislature hereby congratulate Scott MacMillan on achieving the
2526 rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for
2627 continued success and happiness; and, be it further
2728 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2829 prepared for Eagle Scout MacMillan as an expression of high regard
2930 by the Texas House of Representatives.
