R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Floyd Insurance Agency has served Robstown
residents for more than seven decades; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 1942 by Jerry Floyd and Ruby Lee Floyd,
the business is now led by their son, Ed Floyd, who has worked in the
firm for 57 years; and
WHEREAS, The staff today also includes Ed Floyd's son,
representing the third generation in the business; providing
further depth of experience is Gaye Mejia, who has been employed by
the company for 29 years; and
WHEREAS, Well-established family businesses contribute to
the stability and long-term prosperity of their communities, and Ed
Floyd and the staff of the Floyd Insurance Agency are continuing to
add to the local economy as they build on the company's impressive
history of success; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby honor the Floyd Insurance Agency and extend to
Ed Floyd and his staff sincere best wishes for the future; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the company as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
