| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The City of Socorro has greatly benefited from the |

| 6 | 7 | | leadership of the Honorable Victor Perez, who represents District 3 |
|---|
| 7 | 8 | | on the city council; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Elected in 2013, Mr. Perez previously represented |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | District 3 on the council from 2006 to 2008; he has also served on a |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | number of city commissions over the past two decades; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Perez has further given of his time and talents |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | for the betterment of the Socorro Independent School District; he |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | is a founding member of the Socorro ISD Education Foundation and has |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | been a member of several ISD committees; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | of Victor Perez are helping to make the city of Socorro an even |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | better place in which to live and work; now, therefore, be it |

| 19 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 20 | 21 | | Legislature hereby commend Victor Perez for his exemplary public |

| 21 | 22 | | service and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
