|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Representative Turner build a strong relationship with the citizens |

| 14 | 15 | | of House District 101 and ensuring that their voices are heard in |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Austin; admired for her resourcefulness and strong work ethic, she |

| 16 | 17 | | has put in long hours to meet the needs of constituents, and her |

| 17 | 18 | | efforts were indispensable in carrying out the representative's |

| 18 | 19 | | agenda during the 83rd Texas Legislature; and |

| 28 | 29 | | Authority, the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, and the Grand Prairie |

| 29 | 30 | | Chamber of Commerce, to name but a few; her involvement in |

| 30 | 31 | | charitable initiatives has encompassed volunteer work for such |

| 31 | 32 | | groups as Meals On Wheels, Habitat for Humanity, and the Tarrant |

| 32 | 33 | | County Homeless Coalition, and she has served as a mentor for the UT |

| 33 | 34 | | Arlington Center for African American Studies and as a mentor and |

| 34 | 35 | | public relations chair for the Esther's Girls program; moreover, |

| 35 | 36 | | she has appeared as a speaker and panelist at seminars and |

| 37 | 38 | | WHEREAS, Devan Allen has established herself as an individual |

| 38 | 39 | | of rare commitment and ability as well as a role model for aspiring |

| 39 | 40 | | women leaders, and she is indeed deserving of recognition for her |
