 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The Jasper High School girls' soccer team enjoyed an
 outstanding 2015 season, advancing all the way to the University
 Interscholastic League 4A semifinals; and
 WHEREAS, The Lady Dawgs completed a perfect regular season of
 21 victories and no defeats, and they carried that momentum into the
 postseason, where they reeled off four consecutive shutouts over
 China Springs, Little Cypress-Mauriceville, Hampshire-Fannett, and
 Columbia High Schools before winning a hard-fought 3-2 triumph over
 Hardin-Jefferson to reach the state tournament; and
 WHEREAS, Matching up against Princeton High School in the
 semifinals on April 15 at Birkelbach Field in Georgetown, Jasper
 put forth a valiant effort, but ultimately fell short by a score of
 4-3 to conclude its season with a record of 26-1; and
 WHEREAS, Ably guided by head coach Gabriela Carter and
 assistant coach Stephen McCullough, the Lady Dawgs received
 valuable contributions throughout the season from each member of
 the roster: Julie Carter, Caitlyn Warren, Pamela McFarland, Jordan
 Luther, Yvette Carter, Salma Segovia, Alivia Richardson, Ana
 Barajas, Macy Kendrick, Natalia Zavala, Emmalee Carter, Claire
 Walker, Monse Vilchis, Marissa Durand, Shay Cochran, Kylee Dominy,
 Ezra Lovett, Kaitlin Campos, Alex Richardson, and Walker-Ann
 Wilson; and
 WHEREAS, With their exceptional skill and unwavering
 commitment to excellence, the Jasper Lady Dawgs earned a place
 among the top teams in Texas, and these dedicated competitors are a
 source of tremendous pride to their classmates and their many
 supporters in the local community; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate the Jasper High School girls'
 soccer team on reaching the UIL 4A semifinals and extend to the
 team's players, coaches, and staff sincere best wishes for
 continued success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
