| 7 | 8 | | Recognition Month in January 2015 provides a welcome opportunity to |

| 8 | 9 | | honor the trustees of the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School |

| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Located in Hidalgo County, PSJA ISD encompasses 43 |

| 11 | 12 | | schools and serves a student population of nearly 32,000; the seven |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | school board members who oversee this district work closely with |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Dr. Daniel P. King, superintendent, as well as with parents, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | teachers, and community leaders to ensure an optimal learning |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | environment for all students; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, The board is ably led by president Jesus Vela Jr., |

| 17 | 18 | | vice president Guadalupe Rodriguez, secretary-treasurer Humberto |

| 18 | 19 | | Rodriguez, and assistant secretary-treasurer Ben Garza Jr.; other |

| 19 | 20 | | members include Ronaldo Cantu, Reymundo Gonzalez, and Victor Perez; |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Each of these notable Texans demonstrates an |

| 26 | 27 | | Legislature hereby honor the members of the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo |
