H.R. No. 2264
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A number of noteworthy Houston area students are
being honored with a 2015 Reginald Keith Guillory Scholarship; and
WHEREAS, Recognizing young men and women who have
distinguished themselves through their academic pursuits, the
awards were established in memory of Reginald Keith Guillory, a
graduate of Forest Brook High School and an active member of Mount
Pleasant Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS, This year's scholarship recipients are Angelique
Bailey, La Quar Blow, Jamal Carr, Lorie Ford, Paul Lumas III, Ashlee
McClellan, and Brajae' Taylor; and
WHEREAS, These outstanding young Texans have demonstrated a
commendable dedication to their studies, and they are a source of
great pride to their families and peers; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate the 2015 recipients of a Reginald
Keith Guillory Scholarship and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the scholarship recipients as an expression of high
regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
