5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and a host of friends will forever treasure |

6 | 7 | | their memories of Richard Louis Anderson of Burkburnett, who passed |

7 | 8 | | away on April 13, 2015, at the age of 78; and |

8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Richard Anderson was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, |
---|
9 | 10 | | on November 11, 1936, to William and Rose Berube Anderson; he was a |
---|
10 | 11 | | member of the United States Air Force for 10 years, and he exchanged |
---|
11 | 12 | | wedding vows with his wife, the former Francyne McClendon, at a |
---|
12 | 13 | | chapel on Sheppard Air Force Base near Wichita Falls on April 27, |
---|
13 | 14 | | 1956; and |
---|
14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, A proud Texan by choice, Mr. Anderson was the owner |
---|
15 | 16 | | of A-5 Feed & Farm Supply in Magnolia, where he enjoyed a warm |
---|
16 | 17 | | rapport with his employees and customers; his desire to serve his |
---|
17 | 18 | | fellow citizens led to his election to the Magnolia City Council, |
---|
18 | 19 | | and he also benefited the community as president of the Magnolia |
---|
19 | 20 | | Independent School District Board of Trustees and as a member of the |
---|
20 | 21 | | Greater Magnolia Chamber of Commerce; and |
---|
21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Anderson found particular fulfillment in |
---|
22 | 23 | | assisting members of the Magnolia FFA and Ag Support Group, and he |
---|
23 | 24 | | had the honor of being recognized by the local Masonic Lodge with |
---|
24 | 25 | | the Community Builders Award, an accolade that is rarely given to |
---|
25 | 26 | | nonmembers; and |
---|
26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Above all else, Mr. Anderson deeply cherished his |
---|
27 | 28 | | wife and family, which included his children, Karen, Richard, and |
---|
28 | 29 | | David, and his grandchildren and great-grandson; moreover, he made |
---|
29 | 30 | | many close and lasting friends through the years and counted his |
---|
30 | 31 | | customers and employees among them; and |
---|
31 | 32 | | WHEREAS, Richard Anderson was an engaged citizen, a |
---|
32 | 33 | | successful businessman, and a devoted family man, and he will long |
---|
33 | 34 | | be remembered with great admiration and affection by all those who |
---|
34 | 35 | | were fortunate enough to know him; now, therefore, be it |
---|
35 | 36 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

36 | 37 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Richard Louis |
