45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Family and a host of friends will forever treasure
67 their memories of Richard Louis Anderson of Burkburnett, who passed
78 away on April 13, 2015, at the age of 78; and
89 WHEREAS, Richard Anderson was born in Lowell, Massachusetts,
910 on November 11, 1936, to William and Rose Berube Anderson; he was a
1011 member of the United States Air Force for 10 years, and he exchanged
1112 wedding vows with his wife, the former Francyne McClendon, at a
1213 chapel on Sheppard Air Force Base near Wichita Falls on April 27,
1314 1956; and
1415 WHEREAS, A proud Texan by choice, Mr. Anderson was the owner
1516 of A-5 Feed & Farm Supply in Magnolia, where he enjoyed a warm
1617 rapport with his employees and customers; his desire to serve his
1718 fellow citizens led to his election to the Magnolia City Council,
1819 and he also benefited the community as president of the Magnolia
1920 Independent School District Board of Trustees and as a member of the
2021 Greater Magnolia Chamber of Commerce; and
2122 WHEREAS, Mr. Anderson found particular fulfillment in
2223 assisting members of the Magnolia FFA and Ag Support Group, and he
2324 had the honor of being recognized by the local Masonic Lodge with
2425 the Community Builders Award, an accolade that is rarely given to
2526 nonmembers; and
2627 WHEREAS, Above all else, Mr. Anderson deeply cherished his
2728 wife and family, which included his children, Karen, Richard, and
2829 David, and his grandchildren and great-grandson; moreover, he made
2930 many close and lasting friends through the years and counted his
3031 customers and employees among them; and
3132 WHEREAS, Richard Anderson was an engaged citizen, a
3233 successful businessman, and a devoted family man, and he will long
3334 be remembered with great admiration and affection by all those who
3435 were fortunate enough to know him; now, therefore, be it
3536 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
3637 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Richard Louis
3738 Anderson and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family:
3839 to his wife, Francyne Anderson; to his children, Karen, Richard and
3940 his wife, Julie, and David and his wife, Lilly; to his
4041 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Emily, Michelle, Justin Frank, Tyler, and
4142 Sharon; to his great-grandson, Ivan; to his sister, Maureen Dube,
4243 and her husband, Dick; to his sister-in-law, Gillis Carroll, and
4344 her husband, Bob; to his nieces and nephews, Debra Burke, Robin
4445 Anderson, Harry Raymond, Michael Raymond, Johnny Fortin, Holly
4546 Carroll Lobaugh, and Josh Carroll; and to his other relatives and
4647 friends; and, be it further
4748 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
4849 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
4950 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Richard
5051 Anderson.
