 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
 of Bryan Wilbur Smith of Centerville, who passed away on June 26,
 2014, at the age of 87; and
 WHEREAS, Born to Walter and Esther Smith in Houston on April
 26, 1927, "Bebe" Smith began working for his father's paving
 company at the age of 14; he spent the next six and a half decades
 with the firm and became the owner of the company in 1969; Mr. Smith
 helped to pave many of the streets in the Bayou City, and over the
 course of his career he received several awards from the Associated
 General Contractors of America; and
 WHEREAS, Bebe Smith married the former Anna Lee Blakeway on
 January 4, 1950, and the couple enjoyed 62 rewarding years together
 before her passing; he was the proud father of two daughters, Donna
 and Sandra, and he later welcomed many grandchildren and
 great-grandchildren into his treasured family; and
 WHEREAS, A devout Christian, Mr. Smith strove always to live
 according to the ideals and beliefs he held dear; and
 WHEREAS, Sustained by his deep faith, Bryan Smith achieved a
 life that was rich in family, friends, and accomplishments, and
 those who were privileged to share in his love and affection will
 forever hold him close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Bryan Wilbur Smith
 and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his
 daughters and their spouses, Donna Schlabach and her husband,
 Larry, and Sandra McDuffy and her husband, Michael; to his
 siblings, Mildred Wier, Cora Starnes, Kathleen Castleberry and her
 husband, Robert, Audrey Eckleman and her husband, Don, and Jerry
 Smith and his wife, Joni; to his brother-in-law, Thomas Blakeway;
 to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and to his other
 relatives and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bryan
 Wilbur Smith.
