H.R. No. 2328
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Kathleen Reid has earned a KENS5/San Antonio Credit
Union ExCEL award and the title of Edgewood ISD Teacher of the Year
for 2015; and
WHEREAS, A social studies instructor at Memorial High School
since 1993, Ms. Reid is dedicated to helping her students reach
their highest potential; from listening to their concerns to giving
advice about college or writing letters of recommendation, she is
known to always offer her unreserved support; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Reid has further benefited her school through
her efforts as a sponsor and coach of extracurricular activities
and as the school's graduation coordinator; and
WHEREAS, The influence of an educator extends far beyond the
walls of the classroom and the duration of the school year, and
Kathleen Reid has worked to instill in her students a lifelong love
of learning that will serve them well in every aspect of their
lives; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Kathleen Reid on earning a
KENS5/San Antonio Credit Union ExCEL award and the title of 2015
Edgewood ISD Teacher of the Year and extend to her sincere best
wishes for continued success with her important work; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Reid as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
