84R22156 KSM-D By: Longoria H.R. No. 2347 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, The loved ones of Armando G. Ochoa Sr. of Elsa were greatly saddened by his passing on March 24, 2015, at the age of 80; and WHEREAS, Armando Ochoa was born in Elsa on May 14, 1934, to Apolonio Longoria-Ochoa and Eduvijes Guzman-Ochoa; a veteran of the United States Army, he was stationed at Fort Bliss, and he served his country with pride and distinction; and WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Ochoa was blessed with the love and support of his cherished wife, Elisa; he was the proud father of five children, Jaime, Orlando, Armando, Norma, and Belinda, and as his family grew, he shared many treasured moments with his eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Armando Ochoa enjoyed a life that was rich in the intangibles that matter most, and he is deeply missed by all those who held him dear; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Armando G. Ochoa Sr. and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife of 56 years, Elisa P. Ochoa; to his children, Jaime Ochoa, Orlando Ochoa and his wife, Belia, Armando Ochoa and his wife, Lisa, Norma Lara and her husband, Jaime, and Belinda Ochoa-Castillo; to his grandchildren, Orlando, Jarrett, Marcus, Armando, Andres, Alec, Arlene, and Anthony; to his great-grandchildren, Orlando, Sky, Sydney, June, Camila, Victoria, and Jaylynn; to his siblings, Navor Ochoa and his wife, Lydia, Olivia Salinas and her husband, Pedro, and Apolonio Ochoa and his wife, Diana; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Armando Ochoa.
