| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, School board members play an integral role in the |

| 7 | 8 | | Recognition Month in January 2015 provides a welcome opportunity to |

| 8 | 9 | | honor the trustees of the Valley View Independent School District; |

| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Located in Hidalgo County, Valley View ISD |

| 11 | 12 | | encompasses nine schools and serves a student population of nearly |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | 5,000; the seven school board members who oversee this district |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | work closely with superintendent Rolando Ramirez, as well as with |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | parents, teachers, and community leaders to ensure an optimal |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | learning environment for all students; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, The board is ably led by president Frank Jimenez, |

| 17 | 18 | | vice president Jose A. Rosillo, secretary Noe Pruneda, and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | assistant secretary Abram Ramirez; other members include Juan A. |

| 19 | 20 | | Pimentel, Efrain Perez, and Prisciliano Treviño; and |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Each of these notable Texans demonstrates an |

| 21 | 22 | | exemplary commitment to area students, and through their vision and |

| 22 | 23 | | leadership, they are contributing immeasurably to the future of the |

| 23 | 24 | | Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 25 | 26 | | Legislature hereby honor the members of the Valley View Independent |

| 26 | 27 | | School District Board of Trustees on the occasion of School Board |

| 27 | 28 | | Recognition Month and extend to them sincere appreciation for their |
